Jamboree!
8 teams competed
in three age divisions from MA and NH and the NSFFL league
entered two teams into the 9-11 and 12-14 divisions.
Thank you to all
the players and parents that made the trip south and a big

West Roxbury
High Youth Flag Football Tournament
This past Sunday
the NSFFL league organized 2 teams to travel to West Roxbury
High school to participate in a youth flag football
tournament.
There were two
two divisions offered, U12 and U14 and the league entered
one team in each division.

2009
4th Annual
Football Festival
The 4th Annual
Football Festival tournament organized by the North Shore
Flag Football League was played on the beautiful New England
Patriots practice fields with Gillette stadium providing an
eye catching back drop.
The tournament
had 44 teams competing in 5 different categories and saw
teams from as far away as Miami, FL compete.

2009
NSFFL's
Championship Series
Last Sunday June
28th the 2009 spring flag football season finally came to an
end as the league organized the second bi-annual
Championship series. The Championship Series was introduced
last fall and brings together the Championship teams from
each town/city in the NSFFL.
In the fall of
'08 Peabody, Beverly and Lynn from the 7-8 division competed
in the first ever Championship series with Beverly being
crowned the first ever Champion of Champions.

free ice cream and more!
Chick-Fil-A is a
proud sponsor of the North Shore Flag Football league.
For all leagues this season Chick-Fil-A is offering a FREE
ice cream to any player that makes a purchase while wearing
his or her flag football jersey.
The offer is open for the duration of the season at
Chick-fil-a which is located at the North Shore Mall in
Peabody.

Cheering Program
For the first
season, only Peabody will be involved in the cheering
program and then over time the other North Shore flag
football towns will introduce cheer.
Flag Football cheering is fun, fun, fun, low commitment, low
cost and no stress. There are no tournaments, no travel, no
worries, just show up once a week to practice and then
cheer.

2009
Girl Power
When it comes to
flag football there is not a lot that Peabodys kenia McKeon
has not done.
Kenia was one of
the first girls to start playing NFL flag football in
Peabody and along with her brother won the championship in
her first season. Since that time (fall 2004) Kenia has put
together quite an impressive flag football resume (see
below) This January Kenias story is featured in a 2 page
spread in Sports illustrated for kids.

2008
National
Tournament of Champions
The NFL Flag
National Tournament of Champions is held every November at
Disneys Wide World of Sports complex in Florida.
Teams from all over the country compete in their regional
qualifiers for a chance to make it to the National
Championship.
This past
tournament was the biggest to date and the compeition was
better than ever.
