Cheering Program Spring 2010

Last spring for the first time ever the NSFFL started a cheering program that ran in Peabody for the duration of the season. Every week 3 teams of cheerleaders got together to practice cheers and have fun cheering at the flag football games. The cheering program is set to run again this spring and will be every game day during the season, starting in early April and running through early June. We currently offer recreational cheering to girls aged between 4-12. The girls will cheer for their respective age group, therefore the 4-6 year old girls will cheer on the 5-6 year old teams, the 7-8, cheer for the 7-8 year old teams and the 9-12 girls will cheer for the 9-11 year old teams. While the schedule has yet to be finalized the younest girls will cheer on Mondays, the 7-8 girls will cheer on Tuesdays and the older girls will cheer on Wednesdays.

Flag Football cheering like flag football is FUN, there is only one practice a week just before the games and no competitions, travelling or big commitments, the cost is $80 for first time cheerleaders and $40 for returning cheerleaders. Every cheerleader will get a custom NSFFL shell, skirt, socks, pom pom's, briefs and a turtle neck. Each cheerleader will also get a trophy for participation at the end of the season and each cheer team will have the opportunity to cheer on Peabody in the Championship series (after the season) and at Gillette stadium for the Football Festival tournament in June.
