Let It Fly
This past season the
Beverly league more than doubled from 14 teams to 30 teams
compared with the spring and as every season grows so does the
talent level within the league. The season was officially over
and done with, however there were still a group of Beverly
players that wanted to play flag football so the league sent 7
players to play in the Let it Fly tournament this past weekend
held at the Charlestown high school.
The Beverly team played hard all day and despite the poor
weather conditions manged put up 84 points in three games to
finish 5th overall. The team lost to the other 2 NSFF league
teams but beat out the Pythons of RI 41-18 to claim a victory.
Congratulations to Ryan Irvine, Jack Laganas, Matt Heckman, Kyle
Cravatis, Stephen Solimeno, Luigi Derrane and Jake Thomas that
represented Beverly and played well against the older kids in
the U12 division of the tournament. |
