Granite Bowl Flag Football Tournament

 

The Lynn Chargers who are undefeated and top of the Lynn 12-14 division took 5 players to the Granite Bowl tournament this past April 24th. The team consisted of , Jaylan Wiggins, Abrham Toe, Kevin Heing, Juan Prenza and Jordan Javier-Lark. The Chargers started of strong as they mercy ruled the Red Storm 32-0 in their first game. In their second game Lynn defeated the Salem Witches 20-14 and narrowly lost out to the Peabody Patriots 14-13.

Heading into the play-offs the Charges earned the the #2 seed an were confident against the Red Storm, however with only 5 players all day and the sun beating down the Lynn boys were tiring and on the last play of the game the Red Storm scored on a bomb into the endzone to upset the Chargers 25-20.

Juan Prenza won MVP honors for the Lynn Chargers for his outstanding play on both sides of the ball. The team is hungry for more tournaments and will be entering a full squad into the Football festival tournament this summer.
