A past story

In the last tournament of 2008 Peabody took 2 all-star teams to a flag football tournament held at Cambridge high school, MA.

The tournament was held in pretty cold conditions but the 9-11 all-stars and 12-14 all-stars held their own. In the first games the 9-11 Peabody all-stars beat the Lynn all-stars 14-13, in the second game they defeated Plymouth Pride 32-14 and in the final game of the round robin they defeated Salisbury 28-13. The team then advnaced to the final where they beat the Lynn all-stars again 20-7 to take the title!!

In the 12-14 division the Peabody all-stars got off to a bad start after playing the game without their starting QB resulting in a loss to the Bronx Cowboys 34-0, before the second game the QB made it to the field suited up and lead the team to a close 13-12 win over the Townies of Charlestown, in the next game the Peabody All-stars defeated the Bombers of Roxbury 20-7 and headed to the final to replay the Bronx Cowboys of NY.

The Cowboys were over confindent after their earlier victory, but this time the Peabody defense stepped up and the Bronx boys could not sustain the Peabody Offense as they put up 24 points to win the title game 24-0.
