All-stars
Every spring the
league puts together All-star teams from each town to compete in
the annual "Football Festival" Tournament, this years tournament
will be held on June 19th at Manning stadium in Lynn (Round
robin games) and June 20th in Gillette stadium
(play-offs/championships). Teams from all over New England and
even as far away as Ohio, PA and Miami make the trip to compete.
This year in Peabody there will be 3 teams from the 7-8
division, 2 teams from the 9-11 division and one team from the
12-14 division representing Peabody in the tournament.
Below are the ALL-STAR teams that will be representing Peabody,
we would like to thank all the players that tried out for the
all-star teams and if you didnt make it dont give up and try
again next year. We would like it to be known that the teams
were selected before the coaches were selected and try-outs was
only part of the selection process for the All-star team as
coaches also had a chance to vote for players, along with
referee and staff nominations the following players have been
selected.
Each team is FINAL and changes will not be made, players can not
switch from one team to another, if a player can not make the
tournament or does not wish to play on a team we have a waiting
list of players that didnt quite make the team but would like to
play. We apologize if any players could not make the try-outs
but again teams were selected from a variety of sources.
Each ALL-STAR player is required contribute to the teams
regsitration fee $40 per player to be paid to the coach by June
1st. The coaches will decide when and where to practice prior to
the tournament. Each player is required to submit a copy of
their birth certificate to the coach along with signed waiver
forms from the League and from the Patriots, the coaches will be
handing these documents to you in due time.
Thank you again to every player that tried out, the standard in
Peabody is one of the highest in the league and continues to get
better with every season making it difficult to select so few
players from so many. |
