Granite Bowl Flag Football Tournament

The Patriots from Peabody who were last years League Champions and Championship Series Champions made the trip to NH to enter their team into the tournament in preparation for the Football festival tournament and the NFL regional. The team consisted of CJ Alimonte, Cody and Cory Greenlee, David Cravotta, Ian Ferguson, Jordan Manthorne, Michael Montague, Nicholas Manthorne and Travis Hardy.

In the first game Peabody beat Salem in a close fought game 14-12 then the Patriots played the younger Red Storm team and won more convincingly 32-13, in the last round robin game the Patriots sealed the #1 ranking with another close game over Lynn 14-13.

In the first game of the play-offs Peabody played Salem one more time as Salem received the #4 seed. In sudden death over time Peabody stopped Salem and then scored on their next play to win 15-14. In the Championship game Peabody played the Red Storm team and was

winning for the majority of the game when with less than a minute left Red Storm scored the go ahead TD to put them up 20-18, Peabody had several plays and moved the ball into Red Storm territory but could not find the endzone as the Red Storm won an exciting Championship game.
