NH Sportsplex
"Spring Fling" tournament
Last weekend players
from Peabody, Salem, Lynn and Beverly got a head start on their
flag football season as they traveled north to Bedford, NH. The
NH Sportsplex "Spring Fling" tournament had 10 teams compete in
a 9-11 division and 12-14 division round robin style tournament.
The North Shore Flag Football league sent 4 teams to compete
against the local NH teams.
In the 9-11 division both the Salem Witches and Lynn Rams failed
to win a game after going 0-3 in pool play the Witches almost
secured their first win but lost in the finals seconds of the
game. It was the Lynn Rams that turned it on in the play-offs to
win their first game and knock out the NHFFL Patriots 20-6, in
the semi-finals the Rams lost to the eventual tournament winners
19-8.
The league would like to thank the NHFFL and the NH sportsplex
for organizing the tournament in a great facility. We would also
like to thank all the coaches and parents that made the trip
with the kids and giving them a chance to play some tournament
style flag football!!! Keep an eye on the tournaments section
