All-stars
Every spring the
league puts together All-star teams from each town to compete in
the annual "Football Festival" Tournament, this years tournament
will be held on June 19th at Manning stadium in Lynn (Round
robin games) and June 20th in Gillette stadium
(play-offs/championships). Teams from all over New England and
even as far away as Ohio, PA and Miami make the trip to compete.
This is the first year Saugus has hosted the NFL FLAG program
and we are happy to announce there will be 2 all-star teams from
Saugus heading to the "Football Festival" tournament this June
19th/20th.
Due to the inaugural season in Saugus and only 2 teams in each
age group we felt that coaches nominations would suffice to
select the teams as they see each others players week in week
out.
Each ALL-STAR player is required contribute to the teams
regsitration fee $40 per player to be paid to the coach by June
1st. The coaches will decide when and where to practice prior to
the tournament. Each player is required to submit a copy of
their birth certificate to the coach along with signed waiver
forms from the League and from the Patriots, the coaches will be
handing these documents to you in due time.
Congratulations to all the players named onto the all-star team,
this is a first for Saugus and we know that you will represent
the league well. |
